Rebecca participated as a featured panelist at “Beyond the Badge: Turning Federal Experience into Entrepreneurship,” hosted by the SBA’s San Antonio District Office at LaunchSA inside the San Antonio Central Library.

The morning session—“From Federal Employee to Entrepreneur”—focused on the challenges, advantages, and lessons learned when transitioning from federal service into business ownership. Moderated by Georgia Gabriella, Outreach & Marketing Specialist for the San Antonio District Office, the panel brought together leaders who had successfully navigated that journey, including Rebecca and fellow CEO Jeff Jaime of Taurean.

Rebecca shared her reinvention roadmap, strategic insights, and practical guidance for emerging entrepreneurs, drawing from her own experience building and leading AvantGarde. She emphasized the unique strengths that federal experience brings to business leadership and remained committed to equipping rising founders with clarity, confidence, and actionable tools—especially as small businesses continue to serve as the backbone of America’s economy.
