AvantGarde (AG) CEO Rebecca Contreras has been named a Finalist in not one but two categories for the 19th annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business, and will ultimately be a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie Award winner in each.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees and the companies they run – worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.
Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners will be announced during a gala event at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Friday, November 11. Nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S.A and several other countries are expected to attend. The event will be broadcast on Livestream.
This year more than 1,500 nominations from 27 nations were considered in the Stevie Awards for Women in Business. Just about 41% of the nominations considered received high-enough average scores from the more than 200 professionals worldwide who participated in the judging process to be recognized as Finalists.
Rebecca is a finalist as both Woman of the Year and Best Female Entrepreneur. Her nomination highlighted her achievements and leadership during the past two years, including spurring AG’s growth and her launch of the Girls of Legacy, a scholarship initiative for underprivileged kids. Since its founding in 2011, AG has grown to a thriving 100+ person company under Rebecca’s leadership, serving more than a dozen federal agencies.
This year’s Stevie Awards for Women in Business event will be complemented by the fifth edition of the Women|Future Conference, a three-day educational and networking conference that will be presented virtually on November 8-10.
