The conference opened with an inspiring keynote from Rebecca Contreras, AG’s President & CEO, whose leadership journey and passion for public service set the tone for the event. In her address, titled “Leadership in Unprecedented Times,” Contreras challenged leaders across government to embrace adaptability, resilience, and courage as essential qualities for navigating today’s rapidly evolving landscape.
“Change is not the enemy — it’s the catalyst,” Contreras shared. “In times of uncertainty, great leaders rise not because the path is clear, but because they choose to lead with conviction, compassion, and creativity.”
Her words resonated deeply with attendees, sparking conversations on how federal, state, and local agencies can evolve to meet the needs of a modern workforce and the citizens they serve.
Empowering Innovation Through Data
Continuing AG’s leadership presence at the conference, Beverly Babers, AG’s Chief Operating Officer, led a highly regarded workshop titled “Demystifying Hiring Pipeline Data.” Drawing on AG’s extensive experience in workforce analytics, Babers offered attendees practical, actionable strategies to strengthen hiring pipelines, improve retention, and build a workforce ready for the future.
