On Decemeber 4th, Rebecca Contreras delivered a keynote address to over seven hundred executive women who gathered for their annual conference in San Marcos Texas. For a moment, Rebecca returned to the root of her success and the beginning of her executive career as she, too, served six years in the State of Texas as the Director of Human Resources under former Governor Bush.
Managers and leaders representing agencies all over Texas came to San Marcos where Rebecca opened the conference with her inspiring LostGirl story as well as a guide on “Leading with Resolve.” Rebecca shared her life principles that allowed her to persevere growing up, expand her career in the state and federal government—including her journey to the White House serving President George W. Bush, and began her entrepreneur journey founding AvantGarde LLC and growing it ever since.
